Dried cherries

The native land of a cherry (Prunus) is considered the Black Sea coast of Caucasus and Crimea, from where it got to the Rome and has expanded across all Europe. In 3 century B.C. Doctor Sifinius mentioned cherry (sweet cherry) as a valuable medical product. The modern geography of culture of a cherry is extensive, and annual about 2 million tons of these fruits are gathered in the world.

Red or dark red fruits of a cherry usually have pleasant sweet-sour taste; their pulp contain many useful substances such as: organic acids, mineral substances and microelements, including calcium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, copper, pectin substances, enzymes, sugar, vitamins A, C and РР, a folic acid, anthocyanins.

Especially useful dried berries are because of pertinacious substances which connect heavy metals in human bowel and remove them from the organism. Therefore dried berries are recommended for the daily usage to prevent people from professional illnesses. A dried cherry is popular confectionary stuff which is used for preparation of pies, desserts and other delicacies.

Cherry is a valuable dietary product which improves appetite, and also this is the effective component for treatment of anaemia for people with low haemoglobin. Moreover, because of anthocyanins and anthocyanidians that are in the cherry, these berries are used to restore connecting fabric and neutralize the action of free radicals, which has rejuvenating effect.
